Hand-printed on beachwood using layered acrylic, these illustrated panels celebrates the ritual and poetry of Japanese cuisine through a contemporary, graphic lens. Commissioned by Nightflight Studio for Matsuri Courcelles, Paris, where it is currently on display, the work blends culinary iconography with a vintage, japanese sensibility.
Each motif is composed with deliberate restraint and vibrant colour, allowing the natural grain of the wood to remain visible beneath the paint, giving every piece a subtle uniqueness.
Dimensions: 70 × 30 cm
Materials: Acrylic on beachwood
Each piece is individually hand-printed, with slight variations that honour the handmade process.
